Here is the Depot and railroad tie yard . This was the end of the line for the Jefferson City, - Bagnell, branch line. Bagnell, Missouri was located on the Osage River which a lot of mills cut trees and floated them down the Osage to Bagnell, which had a large railroad tie mill which supplied a large portion of the Missouri Pacific Railroad's tie needs in Missouri. This photo was shot before the completion of Bagnell Dam which created the Lake of the Ozarks. Bagnell, also had a turntable and small engine house. The line was used extensively for movement of materials to create Bagnell Dam.
