| The Following comments are by Pat Shacklette. The top picture of Blodgett, Missouri with all the wagons is an Iron Mountain PR Picture. I have seen it used in a STLIM&S Agriculture Booklet put out around the same date. All of the wagons were hauling water melons for loading and shipping. Bertrand,Missouri was known as the water melon capital of Missouri but I never saw any pictures of melons being loaded there, but the old agent Leo Schwab told me about loading cars out in big numbers from there. |
