| This photo was donated by, and the comments below are by Gary Roe. Briscoe was on the Saint Louis & Hannibal main line. The StL&H ran from Saint Louis to Gilmore on the Wabash, then got on their own rails and ran north thru Moscow Mills, Troy, and New London before reaching Hannibal. They also had a branch line that left the main just south of New London at Ralls Junction, and ran thru Center and ended at Perry. I believe it was abandoned right around WWII. Briscoe is not shown on the Missouri Highway map; but is about 7.5 miles north of Troy at the end of Route K. |
