| Carrollton | Wabash | Gone |
| This photo was contributed by Gary Roe. Thanks Gary. The following comments are his. Carrollton is located at Mile Post 210.5 on the 17th District Main Line between Moberly and Kansas City. Just 2 miles west of here, the Wabash and Santa Fe main lines come together, and are operated as double track for the next 30 miles. This is from 1966, and the photographer is looking westerly. This is the building which replaced the original, and is of the then standard precast concrete construction. However, it is a larger version than all the rest of this type depot. Reason being, this was the headquarters for a Track Supervisor and a truck gang, and there was need for room for their offices. This is also the only station that I know of which had a Wabash Flag painted on the outside of the building. |
