Carter Frisco Gone

This 1900s photo of the Ellsinore Depot was contributed by Craig Meador.    Thanks Craig. The following comments are his.
The Ellsinore Missouri depot was in Carter County on what was once the Current river Railroad later to be Frisco's Puxico to Willow Springs branch. It was cut off from the east when lake Wappapello was built in the early 40's. The agent in the picture is Dewey Stratton.
NOTE: As you may have noticed, the name of the town on this depot building photo has only one "L" in it's name. All maps now show 2 "Ls". Any one know the history about this?
