| This 1959 photo of the Francis Depot was contributed by Bill Bunch. The following comments are his. Thanks Bill. This is where the old Burlington line from Old Monroe connected with the C&A just one mile east of Mexico. There was probably no town ever there, just a name given by the RR (probably some RR official's name). Passenger trains on the CB&Q to KC would go north on the river line and take this line from Old Monroe and operate over the C&A from Francis to KC. |
