The bridge in the back ground of the Glasgow depot was the first all steel bridge across the Missouri and also west of the Mississippi when built by the Chicago and Alton Railroad. The bridge has a C and A done in the superstructure at the east end near the depot, I am not sure about the west end. During the floods in the early 90s one span was completely destroyed. The line was the Gateway Western before KCS then Santa Fe took over the operation of this line.
