| This ca1890 photo of the Jefferson Barracks Depot was contributed by James Wilson Thanks Jim. The following comments are his. This is an image of the old Iron Mountain depot at Jefferson Barracks. The photo was said to have been taken about 1890. The structure is clearly different from (and smaller than) the brick MoPac depot. Looks like the photo was taken in the summer: most everyone is in the shade! It was included in the book, "St Louis Union Station" by A. Montesi and R. Deposki. (Arcadia Publishing, Chicago, 2002).. |
