| I would like to thank both Stephen Smith and Jim Taylor for providing the following information at about the same time. This depot was torn down. The large stone blocks were numbered. It was rebuilt in the early 1990s at another location just off Joplin's Range line Road. Today, the rebuilt structure--which largely resembles the original --is the home of the "Timberline Steak House." As a result this station was saved. These photos of the Joplin Depot taken in 1971 and 1986 were contributed by William Bunch. Thanks Bill. |
