| This 1930s photo of the Joplin Depot was contributed by Stephen Smith. Thanks Stephen. The following comments are his. This the Frisco Building located at 6th and Main in Joplin, Missouri. The bottom floor was a train station from early in the 20th century to approximately 1955. Notice the streetcar tracks in the picture. Within the last few years it has been totally remodeled and remains in its original location, providing housing for senior citizens--although the train station is gone. |
