| This photo, taken in 1910 of the Leadwood Depot, was donated by William Bunch. The next comments are his. This building was originally at Rock Springs about 1 mile north of Doe Run. It was split in half and moved to Owl Creek in the late 1800s. Enroute, part of it slipped off the moving train and was badly damaged; however, it was reloaded and reassembled. Owl Creek became Leadwood shortly thereafter...being more appropriate for the main business of that community |
