| This photo, taken in 1892, of the Riverside Depot was donated by William Bunch. The Comments below are his. This is a great shot of Riverside: Has to be 1890-1892. Note three rails on track which train is on. This accommodated the MR&BT narrow gauge rolling stock and also the St.LIM&S standard gauge equipment. This dual gauge track went from Riverside and into the Herculaneum yards, but south of Herky, it was narrow gauge only until the MR&BT converted to standard gauge in 1892. Thus this picture can be no later than 1892. Thanks Bill |
