| This photo was donated by, and the comments below are by Gary Roe. The photographer was facing southeasterly. This depot was built in 1936 when the line change and the new Missouri River bridge was constructed. The station was somewhat unique in that it had a basement. The west approach of the bridge is just out of sight to the left. Total length of the bridge is about 7200 feet. Saint Charles is on the Wabash 14th District main line between Saint Louis and Moberly at Mile Post 23.0. I believe this station was torn down around 1975 or 1976. |
