These photos, taken in 1893 and 1912, of the Salem Depot, were donated by Jay Anderson.    Thanks Jay.
The following caption was on the top photo.
Both passenger trains then in service on the railroad branch between Cuba and Salem, MO., shown in 1893 at the Salem station. The picture belongs to W.S. Elayer, retired conductor of Salem, who had started work for the branch three years before at the age of 17. He says he can recall no other reason for the crowd than that individuals heard a picture was to be made and showed up for it.
