Lincoln CB&Q Gone

This 1914 photo of the South Troy Depot was Contributed by Bob McNeill From the Judy Mozier Hechler collection.    Thanks Bob.
The following comments are his.
This is the depot at South Troy, MO (milepost 65.5 from St. Louis, 13.9 from Old Monroe) in Lincoln County on the C B & Q branch (which was built about 1914) between Old Monroe and Francis, MO with trackage rights from there on thru Mexico, MO to Kansas City, MO on the former Chicago and Alton route. The depot sat near where the V F W hall sits along Hwy J. Troy was served by this depot and also the St. Louis and Hannibal depot located east of Front St. In the photo we can see baggage on the four wheeled cart and both semaphore blades, but have no information on the man, stable hand, or the handsome young horse staring boldly at us.
