| This 2011 photo of the Spring Fork Depot was contributed by Kenneth Bird. Thanks Ken. The following comments are his. The attached is the restored Box Car Depot located at Spring fork, MO., mile post 9.6, on the abandoned Warsaw, MO Branch of the Missouri Pacific Railroad in Pettis County, Missouri. The depot was left when the branch was abandoned in August of 1946 and was used as a storage shed by the land owner. It was restored in 2007 by the Don Bockelman family. The car was originally a Houston,Central Arkansas & Northern Railroad boxcar built in the 1880s. |
