| Chariton | Wabash | Gone |
| This photo was donated by, and the comments below are by Gary Roe. Triplett is on the Wabash 18th District main line between Brunswick and Stanberry at Mile Post 193.4 (about 7.3 miles from Brunswick). Stanberry and Council Bluffs, Iowa are to your left, Brunswick to your right. The line from Brunswick to Council Bluffs/Omaha was known on the railroad as the "High Line", even when the N&W operated it. The portion that runs from Brunswick to Chillicothe is still in operation by a short line; but the rest of the line to the Iowa state border is abandoned. I believe the small structure to the left of the station is for coal storage for use in the heat stove. |
