| This 1950s photo of the Wright City Depot was contributed by James Wilson. Thanks Jim. The following comments are his. This photo was taken by J. Orville Spreen. It is from the Spreen Papers in the Western Historical Manuscript Collection at University of Missouri-St. Louis. Spreen was an executive with the Wabash in the middle decades of the 1900s. He documented many of the Wabash depots and other structures in the later 1940s and 1950s, as he traveled around the railroad in Missouri and Illinois. |
